FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to isolating transformers operating in electrical circuits with serial power supply to consumers to protect LED lamps from high-voltage pulse overvoltages. An isolating transformer for protecting LED lamps comprises an outer cylindrical housing mounted on a rectangular base, made monolithically with terminal boxes for connecting power to LED lamps located on the sides of the rectangular base. Inside the outer cylindrical body there is a toroidal core, covered with one layer of insulating material lavsan, on which the primary winding is wound and insulated with inter-winding fluoroplastic insulation, made in the form of an inner cylindrical body, on which the secondary winding is then wound. The resulting cavity between the secondary winding and the outer cylindrical body, as well as the primary winding and the toroidal core, is filled with a compound to prevent moisture accumulation. The ends of the primary winding are placed in the tube of the inner cylindrical body, and the ends of the secondary winding are placed in the tube of the outer cylindrical body. These tubes are made monolithically with inner and outer casings.
EFFECT: increasing the insulation strength inside the isolating transformer, increasing the stability and sustainability of the quality of electricity supplied to consumers.
