FIELD: electrolytes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the design of a three-layer solid electrolyte membrane, which can be used in medium-temperature solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC). The membrane consists of a supporting solid electrolyte based on cerium dioxide of composition Ce0.8Sm0.2O1.9 (SDC), on one side of which a thin-film anodic barrier layer is formed, and on the other there is a thin-film cathode modifying layer, whereas the thin-film anodic barrier layer is made of the material based on barium cerate doped with samarium and copper of composition BaCe0.8Sm0.19Cu0.1O3 (BCSCuO), applied to the supporting electrolyte by electrophoretic deposition and baked at a temperature of 1530°C for 5 hours, whereas the thin-film cathode modifying layer is made of a material based on cerium dioxide, doped with samarium and praseodymium of composition Ce0.8(Sm0.5Pr0.5)0.2O1.9 (PSDC), applied to the supporting electrolyte by electrophoretic deposition and baked at a temperature 1450°C for 5 hours.
EFFECT: increase in the specific power of a SOFC cell with an SDC-carrying electrolyte due to an increase in the NRC, a decrease in the ohmic and polarization resistance.
