FIELD: digital processing of hyperspectral images.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns a device for spatial-spectral classification of hyperspectral images. The device contains a sequentially connected block of pixel-by-pixel spectral classification, a block for selecting classes by voting by segments and a block for forming a refined class map, the output of which is the output of the device, a block for selecting homogeneous segments, the output of which is connected to the second input of the block of selecting classes by voting by segments. The device additionally includes a series-connected block for selecting the most informative spectral channels, the first input of which is the input of the device, a block for reducing spatial resolution, a block for reducing the brightness quantization bit depth, and a spatial-spectral filtering block, the output of which is connected to the combined inputs of the pixel-by-pixel classification block and the homogeneous segments selection block. In addition, a control unit is introduced into the device, the outputs of which are connected to the second inputs of the block for selecting the most informative spectral channels, the side for reducing spatial resolution and the block for reducing the brightness quantization bit depth.

EFFECT: increased classification accuracy and reduced computational costs.
