FIELD: mining industry.

SUBSTANCE: intended for development of faces with frozen and poorly loosened rocks, the presence of oversized pieces of rock during open-pit mining using mining excavators. A method for developing a mining face with frozen and poorly loosened rock containing oversized pieces involves loosening the rock and destroying the oversized pieces with a working impact action. Then scooping and loading the loosened rock into vehicles or a dump using a bucket. All operations are carried out by a single-bucket mining excavator, made with a rotating platform, on which, on the side opposite to the bucket, in place of counterweights or together with them, a hydraulic manipulator with a hydraulic hammer is placed, which is controlled from the excavator cabin based on information visualized on the driver’s monitor from an external surveillance camera.

EFFECT: increase in the productivity of a single-bucket mining excavator, an increase in the proportion of its productive work time during operation at a mining enterprise, a reduction in the number of cases of violations of mining method during excavation of rock mass and failures of single-bucket mining excavators caused by these violations.
