FIELD: production of building materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to create innovative building materials and utilize waste from the sulphate method of titanium dioxide production. Gypsum binder with self-cleaning properties is obtained from waste from the production of titanium dioxide using the sulphate method, which is a waste sulphate pickling solution neutralized with lime milk, in the form of a sludge consisting of gypsum dihydrate, as well as from oxides of iron, calcium, aluminium, titanium, in which the specified waste contains, wt.%: CaO 23-25, SO2 20-23, Fe2O3 19-23, Al2O3 2-5, TiO2 3-5. In this case, the method for producing gypsum binder includes drying the said waste in a drying oven at a temperature of 60-70°C for 24 hours, then fired in the same place at a temperature of 140-190°C for 3 hours and grinding to a residue on a sieve with a mesh size of 0.2 mm - 7%. The resulting gypsum component is mixed with Portland cement and microsilica in a mass ratio of the latter equal to 1.5. In this case, the quantitative ratio of the components of the gypsum binder is, wt.%: gypsum component 60-75, Portland cement 15-24, microsilica 10-16.
EFFECT: production of a finishing building material with self-cleaning properties and waste disposal.
