FIELD: processing of television images.
SUBSTANCE: objective is achieved by the fact that RG*B* television signals of a virtual colour camera of the near-infrared range are formed by the signals of two monochrome television cameras and the R signal of a visible range camera, while the signal closest in wavelength to R is assigned the green colour G*, the other - blue colour B*, the white balance in the cameras of the visible and virtual cameras of the near-infrared range is set, the ratio of the amplitudes of RG*B* signals for the near-infrared region during white balance is remembered and this ratio is maintained until the next time the white balance is set, the image of the visible region of the spectrum is displayed on the monitor. The image of the near-infrared region of the spectrum is displayed in the window of interest on the same monitor without interaction with the image of the visible region of the spectrum, which makes it possible to increase the efficiency of searching for camouflaged objects located in the field of view in real time.
EFFECT: improving the quality of the observed image.
