SUBSTANCE: replaceable components of a printing device, such as cartridges, and in particular alternative conversion wrappers and packages for constructing DCT (discrete cosine transform) color maps or difference tables. For this purpose, a plurality of color maps are stored in the memory structure, and the object, being decompressed by the printer controller, contains a plurality of first-level wrappers, each first-level wrapper includes at least one characteristic for identifying the corresponding color map and a formulation for specifying and determining the position of packages for building a color map. In this case, the recipe has at least one position determiner for each second-level wrapper and a plurality of second-level wrappers of different types, each of which wraps a corresponding package.

EFFECT: providing the ability to store and determine the position of DCT color maps in cartridge memory using a new wrapper-formulation-and-package layered structure, which allows the printer controller to quickly determine the position of color maps and build them at run time.
