FIELD: sports equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to exercise devices specifically designed to regulate the activity of the cardiovascular system, to train speed or coordination of movements, in particular with movable endless belts, as well as a 3D (three-dimensional) image visualization interface, and can be used for medical rehabilitation (orthopaedics, therapeutic exercises), sports, practicing skills, games, entertainment. The effect of a running simulator with a virtual reality interface is to increase the efficiency of use (primarily in medical rehabilitation tasks) by providing the possibility of quantitative assessment, analysis (both statically and dynamically) and subsequent visualization of the spatial distributions of pressure exerted by the user’s feet on track surface. The effect is achieved through the use of a flexible thin-film matrix of pressure sensors (resistive, piezoresistive, piezoelectric) with an abrasion-resistant coating, a strain gauge sensor, a non-volatile non-mechanical memory device, as well as two DC electric motors (the first for organizing controlled tension, the second for organizing controlled movement running belt).
EFFECT: efficiency of using the developed running simulator with a virtual reality interface in medical rehabilitation tasks increased by at least 27% as compared to the prototype.
