FIELD: testing equipment.

SUBSTANCE: equipment for testing personal respiratory protection equipment (RPPE), namely in terms of determining the area of the field of view of the viewing unit of the front part. The test stand for determining the area of the field of view of the front parts of personal respiratory protection equipment contains photodiodes installed on a spherical surface in the nodes of the coordination grid with equal spacing and defining the boundaries of the illumination zone, while the stand is equipped with a horizontal rotary table on which a mannequin head is mounted, equipped with illumination lamps installed in its eye sockets. A method for automatically determining the field of view of personal respiratory protection equipment using a stand includes placing the tested front part of the personal respiratory protection equipment on the head of a mannequin, with a spherical surface turned outward, rotating the mannequin's head inside the spherical surface to the required position, turning on light bulbs, automatically reading coordinates and boundaries illumination zones and automatic calculation of the field of view area when using the said front part being tested.

EFFECT: improved quality of the test bench and automation in its management.
