FIELD: personal protective equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of personal protective equipment and is a method for determination of thermal-fireproof characteristics of personal protective equipment for different classes of workers, including firefighters, and its technical implementation in the form of a test bench. The method for determination of thermal-fireproof characteristics of personal protective equipment (PPE) being in a working position on a transformer mannequin includes tests for impact of dangerous heat factors on protective equipment, and, when testing the transformer mannequin, its anthropometric parameters are changed for elimination of impact of factors of sizes of personal protective equipment on sensor readings, when determining their thermal-fireproof parameters.

EFFECT: increase in the accuracy, reliability, and information content of tests.
