FIELD: pharmaceutical analysis.

SUBSTANCE: following is disclosed: a method of the quantitative determination of 4-hydroxycoumarin derivatives including dissolving the analyzed sample, keeping it until completely dissolved at room temperature, and further processing the prepared solutions of the following substances: benzpromarone (I), nitrofarin (II), fepromarone (III), warfarin (IV) or acenocoumarol (V) chemical reagent, measuring the optical density of colored solutions, determining the content of a substance in a substance using pre-built calibration graphs. A sample of benzpromarone (I), nitrofarin (II), fepromarone (III), warfarin (IV) or acenocoumarol (V) is dissolved in dioxane at a room temperature, and the excess relative to the component of the solution being determined is added dropwise to an aliquot of the substances over 10 minutes p-anisidine in a mixture of ethanol 96 wt.% and concentrated hydrochloric acid at a volume ratio of ethanol and concentrated hydrochloric acid of 17:3, respectively, the reaction mixture is kept for 5 minutes until a bright yellow color is formed, then kept for another 3 minutes, after which the solutions are photocolorimetered at a wavelength of 364 nm relative to dioxane, the reference solution.

EFFECT: invention provides a rapid and sensitive method of the quantitative determination of benzpromarone (I), nitrofarin (II), fepromarone (III), warfarin (IV) and acenocoumarol (V) in substances with a relative error of not more than± 0.77% in the absence of the use of toxic reagents.
