SUBSTANCE: invention relates namely to a method for producing multifunctional additives for lubricants that exhibit anti-wear and antioxidant properties, and which can be used in oil refining and petrochemicals to create modern and high-quality lubricants. A method has been proposed for the production of a multifunctional additive for lubricant - an ashless dialkyldithiocarbamine derivative of 2,6-dialkylphenol. The method involves the non-catalytic interaction of dialkyl-substituted phenol, formaldehyde, dialkylamine and carbon disulphide taken in stoichiometric quantities. In this case, for interaction of initial components to the mixture of aqueous formaldehyde solution containing 0.05 mol of formaldehyde and 6 ml of 2% hydrochloric acid is added dropwise in argon current with simultaneous stirring and cooling on an ice bath of a solution of 0.05 mol of dialkylamine in 10 ml of ethanol. The resulting mixture is brought to room temperature and a solution of 0.05 mol of 2,6-dialkylphenol in 15 ml of ethanol is slowly introduced into it. After this, the mixture is subjected to microwave irradiation with a power of 70 W for 20 minutes with vigorous stirring. Then 0.05 mol of carbon disulphide is introduced into the reaction mixture and irradiation is continued for another 20 minutes. Next, the reaction mixture is treated with water, the resulting precipitate is separated, washed with ether, and the finished product is isolated.

EFFECT: increased yield of multifunctional additives based on the dialkyldithiocarbamine derivative of 2,6-dialkylphenol to 90-95% by weight and significant reduction of the duration of synthesis of the multifunctional additive, as the total synthesis time, taking into account all necessary operations, does not exceed one hour.
