FIELD: electroplating.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electroplating, specifically to methods of applying protective coatings on titanium and its alloys. Method involves electrochemical deposition of palladium on the surface of titanium or its alloy in electrolyte containing 58.5±0.5 g/l of sodium chloride and 1±0.1 g/l of palladium chloride, at alternating current with frequency of 0.01–0.1 Hz at current density of 1–10 mcA/cm2 for 60 minutes.
EFFECT: reduced consumption of palladium and power consumption while providing corrosion resistance not worse than that of the prototype.
