SUBSTANCE: method of casting molds using a method of local surface evacuation of a mold involves making a casting model, lower (1) and upper (2) half-molds, forming cavity (3) in half-molds by means of manufactured casting model, design of gating and feeding system and assembly of casting mold. On the upper surface of the upper half-mold, perforation is made in the form of recesses (5), and in the center and along the perimeter of the upper surface, external (7) and internal (6) closed grooves are formed. On upper surface of assembled mold, setting weight (4) with collars (10, 11) on lower surface, note here that weight collars and grooves of upper mold half are aligned to form cavity (12) confined by lower surface of weight and upper surface of upper mold. In the surcharge there is a channel communicating with cavity (12), to the outlet of which a vacuum supply line is connected. When pouring metal into the mold, the cavity is evacuated to allow gas removal from the mold.

EFFECT: higher quality of castings.
