DEVICE FOR DETERMINING STRUCTURE OF SAMPLES AT AUTOMATED UNIAXIAL COMPRESSION AND METHOD OF ITS USE Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC G01N23/46

Abstract RU 2813454 C1

FIELD: physics; measurement.

SUBSTANCE: use to determine structure of samples at automated uniaxial compression. Essence of the invention consists in the fact that for a fixed test sample, a zero load line is marked for a dynamometer and displacements, then performing control of the analysed area positioning and installation of the analysed sample so that the analysed area is in the scanning field of the X-ray receiver and the X-ray emitter; further, the analysed sample is scanned with a computer tomography scanner, for which the computer tomography scanner supplies radiation to an X-ray emitter, which passes through the analysed sample and falls on an X-ray receiver; further, X-ray radiation attenuation coefficients are determined, which are then transmitted to a computer for further processing, wherein using the software for the electric motor, a specific loading mode is established; then, readings are taken from dynamometer and analysed sample is scanned by means of computer tomography scanner; then either testing is stopped, or another loading mode is established; as a result, data on the movement of the load bolt, data on the applied external compressive load and computer X-ray scanning data on the internal structure of the analysed sample are obtained.

EFFECT: providing the possibility of obtaining reliable and high-precision data on the structure of the material and its physical and mechanical properties.
