FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method of increasing the electrical safety of a reinforced concrete support of an overhead power line with an insulated neutral, which consists in applying a carbon-containing weather-resistant coating to the surface of the reinforced concrete support and attaching a current-limiting element to its crossarm. In this case, bitumen electrical insulating mastic is used as a carbon-containing weather-resistant coating, which is applied to the surface of a reinforced concrete rack, potentially open to contact with uninsulated wires of an overhead power line that have become detached from the insulators, as well as to the surface of a reinforced concrete rack in direct contact with an ungrounded electrically insulated metal traverse and holding its electrically insulated fastening clamp, while the connection of the electrically insulated terminals of the current-limiting element to the grounded electrically insulated traverse and to the upper electrically insulated grounding outlet of the reinforced concrete rack is performed using an electrically insulated bolted connection, and the electrical insulation of the terminals and bolted connections is carried out with bitumen electrical insulating mastic.
EFFECT: improved electrical safety and operational reliability of an overhead electrical network with an insulated neutral when single-phase insulation damage occurs in it.
