FIELD: electric power industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the instrumentation and relay protection, as well as to remote non-destructive testing methods for monitoring the condition of towers and overhead power lines. Protection against short circuits and single-phase earth fault; monitoring and diagnostics of the integrity of insulators, the fall of the wire on the traverse of the support, the integrity of the structure and roll from the allowable deviation of the position of the support post are provided. When the device is triggered, information about the state of the damaged support is transmitted via a radio channel along the line to the control room, where this information is read and analysed by the software package.
EFFECT: diagnostics of all elements of the overhead transmission line pole and exact determination of damage location.
