FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: method consists in installation of screening grounded wire cords tensioned under aerial power line wires at location of intensive traffic of animals, motor vehicles as well as agricultural works performance. Screening is performed by an insulated conductor twisted into a spiral that is suspended on dielectric fixtures to outer phase wires of aerial power lines. The ends of the screening insulated conductor are connected to the reinforced concrete tower grounded spreader bars via current-limiting elements that, in case of fault to ground, ensure the normative value of electric resistance of the "aerial power line - screening insulated conductor" insulation clearance. A weather-proof shungite coating is applied onto the reinforced concrete tower surface.

EFFECT: reduction of aerial power lines biocide effect due to an open wire fixation within the screening zone excluding the possibility of fault to ground and due to screening the electromagnetic field caused by flow of fault-to-ground current through the reinforced concrete tower.
