SUBSTANCE: intended for antibacterial therapy. An antibacterial pharmaceutical composition suitable for intravenous administration contains: (a) 2 grams of cefepime or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, (b) 2 grams of tazobactam or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and (c) 1.4 grams to 1.6 grams of arginine, or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt, where the pH of the composition is in the range from 6 to 8 before intravenous administration.

EFFECT: providing a therapeutic synergistic antibacterial composition that can be administered without causing phlebitis.
