FIELD: indicating and signaling equipment.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed group of inventions relates to moisture-sensitive devices and systems for detecting leaks, intended for indication and warning of leaks in household and industry. Moisture-sensitive tape 1 comprises base 2, at least two current-carrying conductors 3, 4, in dry conditions, electrically insulated from each other by hygroscopic material. Tape is equipped with connecting insulated wires 5. At that, at the distal end, the conductors and the connecting wires are connected in pairs by end sleeve 6, and at the other end of the tape, the conductors and wires are connected by connecting sleeve 7 or are connected to chip 8. Base of the tape is made of interwoven threads from hygroscopic material, and current-carrying conductors and connecting wires pass through the interlaced threads along the tape. Also disclosed are a leak detection system, a method for detecting a local leak point and a method for operating the leak detection system.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of current-carrying liquid leak detection.
