FIELD: drying of loose materials.

SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to method of loose materials drying with improvement of ecological efficiency of shaft drying furnaces and vertical shaft drying furnace for its implementation. Drying method of loose materials includes supply of loose material, drying due to convective heat exchange with heat carrier, delivery of dried loose material, supply of heat carrier together with finely dispersed particles of material, including dust in the form of aerosol at the input into inlet manifold of gas outlet channels, then through dust collectors into atmosphere due to depression created by smoke exhauster, wherein part of fine particles of material, including dust from forward flow to inlet into inlet manifold of gas discharge channels is separated by inertia and centrifugal, then deposited by hovering due to reduction of aerosol speed in vertical diffuser channel of inlet manifold of gas discharge channels during their drying to required moisture content. Vertical shaft drying furnace includes an upper direct-flow part of the dryer, a lower counter-flow part of the dryer, inlet manifold into gas outlet channels in zone of convergence of direct-flow and counter-flow parts of dryer, wherein the inlet to the manifold of the gas outlet channels is made horizontally, the inlet manifold of the gas outlet channels is made in the form of a diffuser vertical channel, wall of which on the side of forward flow, adjoining the upper direct-flow part of the dryer and being its continuation, is made along a Bernoulli lemniscate.

EFFECT: reduced concentration of wet fine particles of material.
