FIELD: optical-electronic instrumentation.

SUBSTANCE: method for generating and focusing laser radiation from an emitter with a fibre-optic output to a remote object includes generating laser radiation by an emitter with a fibre-optic output, forming radiation of a given directional pattern close to diffraction quality with a telephoto lens, focusing the radiation focusing device onto a remote object, while the end of the core of the fibre-optic output is located in focal plane of the telephoto lens and the radiation of a given radiation pattern comes out focused to infinity, then, by moving the end of the core of the fibre optic output relative to the telephoto lens with a focusing device, pointing and focusing on a distant object is carried out, while the focal length of the telephoto lens is chosen identical to the effective focal length of the total system for generating radiation and generating radiation given directional pattern.

EFFECT: simplification of the method for generating laser radiation of diffraction quality, increasing radiation density at a remote object.
