FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: device for introduction of preservatives on leaf-and-stem mass, installed on fodder harvester, contains hopper (1), in which there is agitator (2) installed on shaft (3), at the end of which there is drive sprocket (4). Shaft (5) is attached to the bottom of hopper (1), on which there are sowing coils (6) and drive sprocket (7). Shaft (5) is driven by electric motor (8) by means of chain transmission (9) and reduction gear (10). In hopper (1) there is adjusting plate (11) located above sowing coils (6) and containing an opening with a length equal to the width of coils (6). Above sowing coils (6) holes are made equal to holes located in adjusting plate (11). Guide casing (14) and posts (15) are attached to the bottom of hopper (1). Preservative application rate adjustment mechanism comprises housing (17), which is rigidly attached to hopper (1), by means of bracket (18). Screw (19) comprises handle (20) and is movably connected to adjusting plate (11) by means of hinge (21), which is made in the form of a washer rigidly attached to screw (19), and is located in the housing attached to adjusting plate (11). Adjusting plate (11) has a measuring ruler. Above shaft (5) of coils (6) there is shaft (3) with agitators (2), which consists of a bushing with pins installed in it. Bushing is fixed to shaft (3) by means of a bolt.

EFFECT: uniform supply of loose preservative over the entire width of the apparatus immediately before crushing the leaf-and-stem mass.
