FIELD: polymer compositions.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a technology for producing a biodegradable polymer composition for the manufacture of packaging and consumer containers and can be used in the food industry, in agriculture, and in everyday life. A method for producing a biodegradable polymer composition involves mixing a biodegradable polymer containing polylactide with a filler, which is used as crushed wood that has undergone pre-treatment, wherein the pre-treatment of the crushed wood consists of carrying out a two-stage autoclave treatment in a 4% aqueous solution of sulphurous acid at the temperature of 165-175 °C and hydromodulus of 1:5.8 for 8-12 minutes at the first stage and 15-25 minutes at the second stage, followed by separation of the treated filler and liquid fraction, production of polyhydroxybutyrate based on the resulting liquid fraction and drying of the treated filler and further mixing of the pre-treated and a dried filler with a biopolymer, which is a mixture of polylactide and the resulting polyhydroxybutyrate in the following ratio of components in the composition, wt.%: polylactide – 40, polyhydroxybutyrate – 10, filler – 50.

EFFECT: increased elasticity and impact strength of the composite based on the biodegradable polymer composition, as well as reduced cost of the composite due to the use of polyhydroxybutyrate obtained from industrial waste.
