FIELD: oil, gas and coke-chemical industry; various technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing a carbon-containing product. Method includes formation of coal charge, its loading into coke furnaces, subsequent layer coking. Method is characterized by the fact that the coal charge contains 57.0–99.0% of coals of one or more grades, conditionally suitable for coking, 0–40.0% of coking coals and 1.0–6.0% of fine coke additive, wherein fine coke additive consists of coke dust and/or crushed coke fines with fractional composition of not more than 1.0 mm, with content of class of not more than 0.5 mm in amount of not less than 35.0% of total amount of fine coke additive and is characterized by output of volatile substances of not more than 2.0% and ash content of 10.0–25.0%.
EFFECT: use of the proposed method enables to solve the problem of recycling coke dust and coke fines.
