FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for degassing a coal bed. Method includes determination of methane content of coal massif, parameters of gas recovery of bed to workings and bed wells. Method also includes drilling of wells along the extraction pillar, sealing their mouths from air leaks. It also includes connection of wells to degassing pipeline and extraction of methane. Additionally, degassing wells are made along the extraction pillar on the non-degassed part of the coal bed, which is determined by the width of the extraction section minus the length of the bed degassing zones by the preparatory workings. After that methane content on non-degassed part of coal bed, its length, required level of massif degassing in the bed zone are determined. Distance between the wells is determined taking into account the gas recovery of the coal bed to the wells and the degree of degassing. Vacuum at variable-length wellheads is set in proportion to its initial value, but not less than 45–50 mmHg. After completion of cleaning works at the section through the wellheads methane-air mixtures are extracted from the mined-out space of the stopped long face.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of coal bed degassing.
