FIELD: microwave equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microwave engineering. Essence of the invention consists in the fact that in a small-sized waveguide load, which consists of a section of a rectangular waveguide with a metal wall covering this section of the waveguide on one side, and a radio-absorbing medium, as a radio-absorbing medium, a two-layer magnetic radio-absorbing coating (RAC) is applied on the entire surface of the metal wall, which first layer of RAC is made of a material which is an organosilicon binder filled with fine powder of carbonyl iron with spheroidal granules, and the second layer is made of a dielectric material based on an organosilicon binder having a permittivity in range of 2.0 to 2.5, wherein thicknesses of both RAC layers should ensure minimum level of electromagnetic wave reflection from metal wall covering section of rectangular waveguide on one side in preset frequency range.
EFFECT: significant reduction in the physical length of the matched waveguide load while improving the quality of matching in a given frequency range.
