FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, particularly to a method which enables to detect products of expression of chimeric genes of receptor tyrosine kinases in a wide range of samples of pathological tissues of patients on the basis of RNA expression data. Method is based on analysis of character of expression of separate genes and search of imbalance of covering of exons, which testifies to presence of structural gene rearrangement. Approach is based on analysis of transcriptomic data, which potentially enables detection of chimeric products of all genes expressed in a sample. Besides, this method can be automated, which prevents potential errors associated with manual calculation. Application of this method will make it possible to efficiently and accurately detect chimeric transcripts in all types of tumour samples, including paraffinized samples fixed in formalin, the degree of degradation of nucleic acids in which is increased.
EFFECT: invention provides higher availability of personalized medicine and efficiency of selection of anticancer therapy.
