FIELD: chemical industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polymer processing technology. Invention is based on practical use of rheological properties of polymers, namely the Weissenberg effect. Device for producing monofilaments from solutions and/or melts of polymers is a process bowl with melt and/or polymer solution, in which there is at least one needle rotating along its axis, which is located with its point upwards, which is driven by a shaft. Device can be equipped with a rpm sensor. Melt and/or solution of the polymer rises up the needle in a swirled state due to the Weissenberg effect. Process bowl of the device can also contain a heating device with a temperature sensor for controlling the temperature of the process medium.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to simplify and reduce the cost of existing production of polymers, allows to introduce and use previously unused physical principles, and also simplifies and reduces the cost of production of aramid fibers, since it enables to exclude the process of dissolving granules of aramid fibers in sulfuric acid after polymerisation for subsequent spinning and to obtain fiber from the reaction mass during polymerisation.
