FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to anaesthesiology and intensive care, and can be used for prolonged brachial plexus block from subclavian approach. Catheter is placed to a brachial plexus located in a supraclavicular region through a lumen of a Tuohy guide needle from a subclavian approach under ultrasonic navigation. Catheter is fixed under the skin of the anterior chest wall with the help of a Tuohy guide needle and a spinal needle with a pencil sharpening of the distal end. Further, the fixed catheter is connected to the antibacterial filter, and the catheter is fixed at the point of exit to the skin of the anterior chest wall.
EFFECT: method enables reducing the risk of catheter displacement and reducing the probability of infection due to the increased distance from the access point to the brachial plexus and the method of catheter fixation.
