FIELD: metal forming.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates can be used for pre-stressing of elongated workpieces and ingots with a length-to-diameter ratio greater than 3. The die consists of an upper and lower half. The stream of the lower half of the die has the shape of a cone with an inclined bottom part to set the inclination of the workpiece when it is installed and the beginning of the pre-stressing process. The upper groove has a conical surface that forms a stamping slope, a prismatic cut-out for feeding the workpiece, and an inclined flat bottom to keep the end of the workpiece from sliding towards the cut-out during the pre-stressing process.
EFFECT: pre-stressing of large-sized elongated billets and ingots with a limited working space of the press.
