SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a system for processing financial transactions. Financial transaction processing system includes: an ATM providing information on a stack of funds; bank server, which calculates information on preliminary amount of replenishment; and a funds control unit, which prepares a transit cartridge containing funds required for a replenishment transaction, and enters information on the preliminary replenishment amount into the memory of the prepared transit cartridge. When funds in transit cassette are replenished, bank server calculates information on the actual amount of replenishment based on information on the current stack of funds received from the ATM, and provides calculated information on the actual amount of replenishment into the ATM. ATM controls the transportation path for the funds so that the funds are replenished from the transit cassette based on information on the actual amount of replenishment, and funds, such as non-replenished banknotes, are returned to the transit cassette, and provides the bank server with information on the number of non-replenished banknotes returned to the transit cassette.
