FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to spectrophotometric analysis and relates to a method for spectrophotometric analysis of quantitative content of polyphenol components in binary compositions. When implementing the method, a solution of the analysed mixture and a solution of potassium peroxodisulphate are added to solution of 2,2'-azinobis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid) diammonium salt. Solution is shaken and a kinetic curve is recorded at the absorption maximum at 730–750 nm, which is recorded until a stable increase in absorption appears. Several plateau periods are observed on the kinetic curve, separated from each other by short periods of absorption growth. Comparing the kinetic curves of the compositions with the kinetic curves of the individual standard components, it is determined which of the plateau periods correspond to the individual components. Quantitative content of the components of the mixture is calculated by correlating the durations of the plateau periods of the reference samples with the corresponding plateau periods on the kinetic curve of the composition.

EFFECT: enabling quantitative analysis of components of a composition, simplifying the analysis method and improving measurement accuracy.
