FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular, is intended for optimization of long-term storage conditions of blood serum and is aimed at improving stability of diagnostic parameters of antibodies to parasitic diseases (toxocariasis, echinococcosis) during prolonged storage in low-temperature conditions. Stabilizing agent includes glycerine, high-esterified pectin, sodium merthiolate and ascorbic acid, at following quantitative ratio of components, vol. % depending on temperature of freezing and storage of serum: at freezing and storage temperature -20 °C: glycerine 1.0–3.0, pectin 0.05–0.15, sodium mertiolate 0.01–0.1, ascorbic acid 0.001–0.01, water – the rest; at freezing and storage temperature -40 °C: glycerine 4.0–7.0, pectin 0.16–0.26, sodium mertiolate 0.01–0.15, ascorbic acid 0.001–0.01, water – balance; at freezing and storage temperature -196 °C: glycerin 8.00–11.0, pectin 0.27–0.37, sodium mertiolate 0.01–0.15, ascorbic acid 0.001–0.01, water – the rest.

EFFECT: invention enables to preserve up to 95 % of blood serum samples with the initial antibody response to parasitic pathogens in prolonged storage (12 months) in low temperature (-20 °C, -40 °C, -196 °C).
