FIELD: metallurgical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to continuous production of iron by direct reduction of iron ore, and can be used at metal working enterprises or metallurgical plants. Unit contains oxygen tuyeres (1) located above the melt. Iron-ore charge (2) supply hole is located in the unit roof, the combustion products discharge (3) is located in the unit roof on the opposite side from the iron-ore charge supply hole, in the part where slag discharge hole (4) is located. Multilayer lined housing (5) is made above the bubbled melt level and represents vertical walls and a spherical vault. Enclosures in the form of cooled panels (6) are located in the melt bubbling zone between the multilayer lined housing (5) and the perforated side walls (7). Distribution manifolds of natural gas (8) are located under perforated side walls (7) and perforated bottom (9). Perforated bottom (9) is inclined. Hole for draining reduced melt (10) is made in the bottom in the slag draining zone.
EFFECT: reduction of emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere, reduction of heat losses and improvement of energy efficiency of iron production.
