SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmology. Scleral fixation of capsular sac is performed, capsular ring obtained by heating with a thermocoagulator is used, and a spiral-shaped end is formed in the main plane of the ring to provide scleral fixation. After cooling, the capsular ring assumes and retains the specified shape, having length of 240 degrees of circumference. Suture is passed through a hole on the edge of the formed fixation loop in the capsular ring, after which the capsular ring is implanted into the capsular sac through the main approach with help of 29G needle 2.5 mm from limb for 12 hours to form a sclera puncture. Guide wire is inserted between the leaf of the anterior capsule of the lens and the iris by dipping the suture into the needle through the main approach with the help of forceps and bringing it out onto the sclera with subsequent scleral fixation.
EFFECT: method provides the reliable and safe long-term fixation of the capsular sac with the implanted posterior chamber IOL that allows avoiding the risk of IOL dislocation in the remote postoperative period.
