FIELD: microbiological industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to apparatus for growing methane-oxidising microorganisms. Bioreactor is equipped with a nozzle for removal of exhaust gases, nozzles for supply of mineral medium, inoculum, titrants, antifoaming agent, a nozzle for sampling the culture fluid, equipped with a proportional valve. Bioreactor comprises a cylindrical housing enclosed in a thermal jacket, equipped with a removable cover, in the axial hole of which there is a double end seal, in which in the inner cavity of the housing along its central axis there is an electric drive shaft with fixed on it from 3 to 6 impellers with diameter of 0.6 of internal diameter of the housing. Each of the impellers consists of blades, each of which is made in the form of half a pipe cut along its axis, rigidly fixed on the mounting bushing at angle of 30 degrees to its axis. Aerator installed in lower part of housing, said aerator consists of tubular metal membranes with pore distribution peak of 0.1–1 mcm rigidly secured at methane-air mix feed pipeline connected to housing inner space.

EFFECT: invention provides higher efficiency of the bioreactor, as well as the possibility of implementing the technology of culturing microorganisms on an industrial scale due to the design of tubular membranes and impellers.
