FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: method has been proposed for obtaining biomass of methane-oxidizing bacteria, including cultivating microorganisms under aeration conditions on a nutrient medium containing sources of carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, mineral salts and microelements in a membrane reactor, while 100% of the spent culture liquid is purified in a membrane reactor with the formation of activated sludge and purified water, after which the purified water is returned to the cultivation stage for the preparation of a mineral medium and for the preparation of a titrant in a volume of 85% and 15%, respectively, of the total volume of purified water.
EFFECT: increased productivity of the process of obtaining biomass of methane-oxidizing bacteria from the consumed substrate and closed-circuit water consumption throughout the entire technological chain.
