FIELD: engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to propulsion engineering, particularly, to gas turbine engine (GTE) drive unit boxes (DUB) drive design, and can be used in aircraft and ground application GTE. In GTE, to transfer torque from gearing of central drive (CD) to gears of angular conical drive (ACD) and DUB, as well as to drive units, splined joints 4 are used, which are subject to wear during operation. Wear can be prevented or significantly reduced by lubrication. Lubrication of splines 4 occurs due to formation of oil bath 13 in cavity of spline connection, which allows to perform lubrication, as well as cooling of splines along their entire surface, including side walls, and not only in radial gaps between vertices and recesses of splines. Availability of drain hole 15 allows to provide oil exchange in cavity of spline connection, wherein oil bath 13 is retained due to that volume of flowing oil is smaller than that of incoming oil. Technical solution can be used for splined shafts of different orientation.
EFFECT: reduced wear in splined joints due to increased efficiency of their lubrication and cooling and, as a result, increased reliability of engine operation.
