FIELD: physics; various technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: inventions are used in production of large-size mirrors of telescopes during shaping of working aspherical surface and its control. Disclosed is a design of support elements in the form of a truncated sector of a cylindrical disc with a decrease in thickness towards the axis, formation of a plane-parallel platform and technological inclined channels for introduction of glue from the upper surfaces to the cylindrical contact surface. Support elements are glued into the blind cavities by means of a collapsible mounting sleeve, on which the support elements are suspended and clamped, for example, four, inserting the sleeve into the blind cavity at a given depth and until the support elements contact the blind cavity, adhesive composition is introduced into the process channels, the support elements are additionally pressed to the surface of the blind cavity, the adhesive composition is cured and the mounting sleeve is brought out.
EFFECT: increased strength and reliability of support elements and their gluing in blind cavities of large-size mirror.
