FIELD: chemical or physical processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of producing sorption materials based on covalently modified silica gels used for separation and concentration of components of solutions. Disclosed is a method of producing covalently modified 4-acylpyrazolone silica gel by functionalisation of surface of 3-(1H-imidazol-1-yl)propyl-silica gel by reaction with 4-(6-bromohexanoyl)-5-methyl-2-phenyl-2,4-dihydro-3H-pyrazol-3-one, proceeding when boiling in acetonitrile medium for 12 hours.
EFFECT: wider range of sorption materials based on silica gels, covalently modified with 4-acylpyrazolones, used as multipurpose solid-phase materials, mainly for extraction of various metal ions from solutions.
