FIELD: soldering.

SUBSTANCE: semi-automatic installation is intended for induction soldering of microwave cable assemblies, namely for soldering of cable sheath to coaxial connector. High-frequency current (HFC) generator of the installation is connected to the inductor. Installation comprises a pyrometer, a controller setting the operating mode of the HFC generator, a programmable timer, a soldering temperature mode controller. Positioner for soldered parts comprises a cable holder fixed on the axis with a clamping device in the form of detachable pressing jaws equipped with a jaw clamp, and a connector sleeve holder. Inductor is made in the form of a cooled induction coil, which is a tube, both ends of which are connected to a cooling tank with the possibility of liquid circulation through the tube. Holder of the sleeve of the connector of the cable assembly has a round support surface with the possibility of placing the sleeve of the connector and the cut of the dielectric of the cable installed in the sleeve against it. Connector sleeve holder has a central hole on the support surface, the diameter of which coincides with the diameter of the central core of the cable, and the depth corresponds to the value of its stripping.

EFFECT: due to accurate positioning of soldered elements in the positioner, the installation enables to obtain microwave cable assemblies having high mechanical strength, electrical tightness and the required radio-frequency characteristics.
