METHOD OF SUTURING FOR GRAFT FIXATION IN SOFT TISSUE OPERATIONS Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61B17/24

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, namely to dentistry, and is intended for use in soft tissue surgeries for fixation of a free gingival graft. Free gingival graft is prepared from the oral cavity to be applied on the bed. Bed is prepared for placing a free gingival graft. Free gingival graft is fixed along the entire length with separate sutures, each of which is applied as follows: the first prick is made in the vestibule of the oral cavity into the periosteum below the graft attachment line, the suture tail is left for further knotting; the suture is delivered through the periosteum parallel to the lower border of the graft and pricked out, thereby forming a lower base of the triangle. Second prick in-prick out is performed through the keratinized oral mucosa between the first prick in-prick out by drawing the suture along the surface of the graft in the direction of its upper border, thus forming the apexes of the triangle. Suture tail is gripped with a clamp from the first prick in-prick out and a set of knots is tied – 2-1-2 in the vestibule along the lower border of the graft, completing the formation of the suture in the form of a triangle. Knot is dragged to the area of the triangle vertex.

EFFECT: by reducing the number of prick in-prick out in the fixation zone, the method allows increasing the reliability and low-traumatism of the graft fixation, improving the blood circulation in the transplantation zone, and accelerating the healing process.
