FIELD: measurement.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to air quality monitoring. Disclosed is a method for determining emission of carbon dioxide, including determining the direction of wind in the investigated territory, measurement of concentration of carbon dioxide at the input and output of the investigated territory in the direction of wind speed, measurement of wind speed with the same frequency as concentration of carbon dioxide, measurement of air temperature with the same concentration of carbon dioxide and frequency, determination of the average height of the air mixing region, calculation of carbon dioxide emission rate by formulas for time interval from t1 to t2 in case of absence of measurements for this interval and for a period of time from t1 to t2 in case of availability of measurements made during this period.

EFFECT: invention allows without additional equipment, except for standard air sensors of CO2 concentration, atmospheric thermometer, chronometer, anemometer, without additional labour costs and application of specialized software to determine carbon dioxide emission in the investigated territory.
