SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of plastic lubricants used in friction assemblies of machines and mechanisms of metallurgical and machine building industries, operating under conditions of high loads, high humidity and forced contact with water. Invention relates to a method of producing a grease, in which a functional additive is prepared by heating 96% sulfuric acid to temperature of 60–80 °C with subsequent addition of polyparaphenylene-terephthalamide in form of threads, mixing of obtained solution with addition of 12-hydroxystearic acid, homogenisation of the mixture and its subsequent water washing to obtain a functional additive, then heated to temperature of 80–100 °C base oil are mixed with addition of acetic and 12-hydroxystearic acids, mixture is heated to temperature of 110–130 °C, then lithium hydroxide is added, saponification, dehydration, heat treatment by heating to 180–220 °C and holding for 1.5–2 hours at a given temperature with subsequent cooling of mixture to 80–110 °C, then adding antifriction and previously obtained functional additives, wherein grease contains, wt.%: lithium hydroxide 6–10; 12-hydroxystearic acid 4–7; acetic acid 5–8; antifriction additive 0.1–2.5; functional additive 1.2–3.45; base oil – balance.
EFFECT: low water absorption and high antifriction properties of the grease during operation of friction assemblies under conditions of high loads, high humidity and forced contact with water.
