FIELD: various technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to tooling of extrusion technology for making ceramic substrates and can be used to make a die matrix for producing ceramic substrates with high density of thin-walled channels. Method involves additive printing of feed and forming channels by selective laser melting (SLM) technology from powder stainless steels or martensite-aging alloys with grain-size composition from 10 to 63 mcm with subsequent electrochemical polishing of channels, which is carried out in an electrolyte flow directed inside these channels along their axis. Polishing process is carried out at a working temperature of 50–80 °C, density of anode current from 20 to 150 A/dm2, holding from 2 to 30 minutes in electrolyte containing 45–65 wt.% of orthophosphoric acid, ρ=1.7 g/cm3, 15–40 wt.% of sulfuric acid with addition of 5–6 wt.% of chromic anhydride, the rest is water. Feed channels are made with transition to the forming channels with a cross-section in the form of a regular hexagon. At that, the matrix feeding channels are made with depth not less than 2 times exceeding the depth of forming channels, the cross-sectional area of which is 1.13 mm2. Cross-sectional area of feed channels is more than 1.07–2.0 times greater than cross-sectional area of forming channels.

EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of manufacturing a die matrix with increased channel density and smooth walls of minimal thickness.
