FIELD: performing operations.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing of metal products surface, namely to processing of embossing shafts. Proposed method comprises machining embossing shaft, wherein said shaft is fitted in laser engraving machine. Laser is displaced along shaft axis to rotate the shaft to remove material layer 10-30 mcm thick in one pass. At this time, non-stick liquid is sprayed onto the shaft surface; after laser engraving in the manual cleaning bath, residues of the non-stick liquid and copper oxide-based contaminants having no adhesion to the shaft are removed with a polishing paste. Then the shaft is electrochemically cleaned from flash in a galvanic bath with an aqueous solution of orthophosphoric acid and an inhibitor with electrolytic action on the surface of the shaft in a cathode mode with current density of 25-30 A/dm2, wherein said embossing shaft serves as anode while electrodes are used as cathodes whereon a mesh element is mounted, after which the shaft is chrome plated.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of embossing transfer.
