FIELD: engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in diesel engines. Internal combustion engine comprises injector installed in chamber with sprayer (11) having several spraying holes (10) and glow plug. Heating element (4), (5) is arranged in glow plug body (1). Nozzle and glow plug are secured in cylinder head seat. Glow plug body (1) is equipped with a cavity for arrangement of heating element (4), (5) and a central hole for coaxial arrangement of sprayer (11) of a nozzle. Glow plug comprises prechamber (3) with electric heating element (5) around holes (10) of sprayer. Volume of prechamber (3) is multiple of volume of non-burning parts of flares formed from holes (10) of sprayer (11) to outer surface of windows (8) of prechamber (3). Walls of prechamber (3), opposite each hole (10) of sprayer (11), contain through openings (8). Number of openings (8) is equal to number of holes (10) of sprayer of the nozzle, and their axes are aligned in space. Dimensions, geometric shapes of openings (8) and their side surfaces are determined by lines of intersection of the cone, top of which is located in the mouth of sprayer (11) opposite to opening (10) with an angle at the vertex equal to the sum of the angle at the top of the burning flare during operation of the engine in the nominal mode and two angles of the gap between the visible side surface of the burning flare cone and the side surface of prechamber openings (8), with surfaces of its bodies.
EFFECT: increased temperature of air charge in flares of fuel-air mixture and increased reliability of their calorizing ignition.
