FIELD: coal mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in cutting tools for coal ploughs. A coal plough cutter includes a shank, a head connected to it, and a cutting insert mounted on the head. The cutter is equipped with a hydraulic cylinder connected to the head and installed in the tool holder, and a curved plate with the ability to move around a circle and connected to the head. The shank is hingedly connected to the tool holder with the ability to change the angle of inclination of the cutting insert to the coal seam in the cutting direction, and the geometric centre of the circle along which the plate moves is aligned with the geometric centre of the hinge.
EFFECT: increase in operational reliability and service life of the coal plough cutter by reducing the load on the cutter and the intensity of its wear.
