SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to an improved pick and to a pick holder assembly for use in mining operations. Earth-digging machine drum for developing the recoverable material comprises a plurality of pick holders attached to the digger, each having an opening with internal support surfaces, plurality of picks each having a head configured to act on the material to be extracted with the speed and force necessary to break and separate this recoverable material, and a shank, which is removably mounted in one of the holes of the pick holder, wherein the shank and the head are arranged in one plane, and each shank has supporting surfaces abutting against the internal bearing surfaces of each pick holder, shank is tilted back relative to the force directed into the head, and the fastener for holding the pick in the pick holder.

EFFECT: increase in the tool life and pick holder by minimizing pick offsets in the pick holder.
